| Department Directors: | Description | |
| Managing Director | The Managing Director (MD) makes all management decisions for, and supports and maintains the mission and vision of ACT1 Theater. The MD manages the fiscal budget, communicates within and outside of the organization, supervises the physical theater and directs its maintenance, provides production support and approves advertising. The MD will communicate with Alpharetta Presbyterian Church personnel whenever required and will report on a regular basis to the Fellowship Committee. The MD together with the Artistic Director will work closely with APC worship leaders and committee members in developing and implementing their requests for ACT1’s involvement in Sunday services or any other congregational services as may be required. | Brian Thornett |
| Artistic Director | The Artistic Director (AD) for ACT1 manages ACT1’s artistic direction and will be the artistic steward of the ACT1 mission as it is affirmed in the bylaws. The AD has the responsibility to recommend the theater’s production choices and directorial choices. The AD together with the Managing Director will work closely with APC worship leaders and committee members in developing and implementing their requests for ACT1’s involvement in Sunday services or any other congregational services as may be required. | Lisa Matchen |
| Marketing Director | The Marketing Director (MktD) shall manage and deliver successful brand and event marketing and audience development campaigns for ACT1 Theater.
The MktD will develop all show brochures, posters, programs and publicity campaigns using whatever media is known to be the most effective. All publicity campaigns are the responsibility of the Marketing Director with collaboration from the Managing Director and the Production Director. This includes oversight, development, scheduling and delivery of all media copy, publicity photographs, poster and flyer design and ACT1 Theater web content The MktD will also be responsible for purchasing appropriate advertising space. The MktD will manage, monitor and update the ACT1 website, maintain e-marketing lists and generate and deliver all e-marketing activity. |

| Sales Director | The Sales Director (SD) is responsible for all ticketing and sales for ACT1 Theater. The SD determines ticketing pricing together with the Managing Director for each main stage production. The SD is then responsible for the inventory, printing, sale and delivery of theater tickets via manual, telephone, web site or 3rd party means. The SD is also responsible for providing staffing at each performance for ticket sales at the front of the house.
The SD will also monitor sales for all productions and produce regular quantitative reports on show attendance and audiences. |

| Volunteer Guild Director | The Volunteer Guild Director (VGD) is responsible for understanding the resource requirements of each and every ACT1 department and soliciting volunteers to staff them as required by the department directors. APC should be the first source of volunteers, however any volunteers from outside of APC will be readily welcomed at ACT1. | Melody Cookson |
| Set Director | It is the responsibility of the Set Director (SD) to create in cooperation with each production’s directors, complete stage sets that are artistic, appropriate, robust and safe for each and every production. By building and managing a team of volunteers, the SD is responsible for the design, building, painting and gathering of set pieces and properties for each production. The SD’s team is also responsible for the set strike and the safe storage and cataloging of all scenery, furnishings and properties belonging to ACT1 and the return of any set pieces that may have been loaned. | Gayley Crockett/Rich Vandever |
| Wardrobe Director | The Wardrobe Director’s (WD) responsibilities are to oversee ACT1’s wardrobe and costume facilities, providing guidance and support to the Costume Manager(s) (CM) for each and every ACT1 production and to assemble a team of volunteers to assist in the production of those costumes. The WD must assign a CM for each main stage production and for all other ACT1 productions (e.g. Dinner Theater, One Act, Teen Theater and 5:16 Players) where costume assistance is required and provide assistance to the CM as needed. | Anne Voller/Suzanne Heiser |
| A/V Director | It is the responsibility of the A/V Director (AVD) to create in cooperation with each production’s directors, complete visual, lighting and sound programs that are artistic, appropriate, sturdy and safe for each and every production. By building and managing a team of volunteers, the AVD is responsible for the design, selection, recording, placement, testing and programming of all visual, lighting and sound equipment and cues for each production. The AVD is responsible for the procurement, maintenance and security of all audio/visual assets for ACT1 within budgetary constraints. | Murray Mann |
| Teen Theater Director | Review and choose scripts, organize participation and direct shows. | Robin Thornett |
| 5:16 Players Director | Responsible for the productions of approximately 2 shows each year, both of which are Fun Wednesday elementary school activities. Determines the choice of show to be presented and works in conjunction with Children's Ministry to promote and recruit for each production. Activities wherein the participating children create their own sets and costumes shall also be coordinated by the Director, and parents of these children utilized to help with activities and during rehearsals. | Jenny Englund |
